Thoughts While Shaving

On the June 6 edition of “On This Day in History” I ‘goofed’. I failed to include several facts related to D-Day.

Hopefully, better late than never.

1944 – 82nd Airborne division WWII D-day-landing at Ste Mere Eglise.

1944 – Baseball cancels all games honoring D-Day invasion.

1944 – Operation Neptune, D-Day: 150,000 strong Allied Expeditionary Force lands in Normandy, France in WWII.

1944 – German submarines U-955, U-970, U629 and U-373 sink in Bay of Biscay.

D-Day is a very important event in our history.
