Thoughts While ShavingAmerican League over National League in All Star baseball game last night, 2-1 in 10 innings.  Ended when Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano hit home run off Cubs closer Wade Davis for the victory.  Cano was MVP, picked a Corvette over a Chevy pickup, as his prize.

8.6 million viewers watched the Home Run Derby.

What a mess we have in the USA.

Been reading polls related to R’s and D’s.

Most trusted person on Trump team, according to a couple of polls, is Keith Shiller.  He is a Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Oval Operations.  Not familiar with him.  He is former NY police officer and constantly by the president’s side, according to several sources.

Another interesting poll was released by The Hill.com.  After all the CNN rhetoric, this poll indicated a 7 point spread in favor of CNN over the President.  Trust was largely split along partisan lines, with 89% of Republicans viewing Trump as more trust-worthy than CNN while 91% of D’s think the opposite.

One more poll, NPR/PBS by Marist College indicated 37% of Americans have faith in the Trump administration, compared to 30% for the media. (No room for braggin’ by either side)

Bottom line, polls are all over the board.

Do wish America was first with all, but in my humble opinion, not so.

Wonder about the conversation if roles were reversed with Hillary in the White House, can hear  calls for impeachment.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R) and Congressmen Joe Kennedy (D) have been quoting biblical scriptures, little said about that, my guess, both attempting to make their own case on the healthcare issue.

Sunrise today at 6:11 AM and sunset at 8:29 as days begin to shorten.  Thankfully, politicians can’t change that.

I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.  Thomas Jefferson

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.  Plato
