Thousands from across the state and nation are in western NC to observe this phenomenon that will last less than 3 minutes, near Columbia S.C at about 2:44 PM, EST and depart the US near Charleston, SC minutes later. 1,300 tickets have been sold to view from Clingmans Dome in Swain County, NC.
The total eclipse will begin in Lincoln Beach, Oregon at 10:16 AM, PST, and depart American soil at Mcclellanville, SC (near Charleston, SC).at 2:49:07.4 PM. And, remember to protect your eyes.
The next such event will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 and can be seen on land at sunset from either Chili or Argentina, or from a cruise ship in the South Pacific Ocean.
