Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingWe missed another couple of hurricanes, Irma and Jose.

At the Hester household, had a total of 2.3 inches of rainfall from the remnants of Irma.

Politico is reporting that House Speaker Paul Ryan is meeting today with top Democrats to discuss legislative options to protect Dreamers.

Dreamers, debt ceiling, healthcare, budget, overhaul of tax system, busy time inside the DC beltline.  Read some place where members of Congress were to arrive late Tuesday to begin work and were leaving Thursday.  My kind of work week, pay not bad and pretty good benefits.  Wonder who sets their work schedule?

Hardly a sound locally about municipal elections!  Less than 8 weeks ’til election day in Bladen County, November 7, 2017.

Boards of Elections will barely complete the count and respond to accusations of irregularities  before filing season begins for local, state and federal elections.  Filing dates are February 12 – 28, 2018.

After all the accusations in 2016, in Bladen County, one vote was determined to be illegal, if my memory is correct.  Pretty darn good record, but there will be more.  So what’s new?

I need a larger calendar, more room to write dates…..for doctor appointments. Such is the life of a senior citizen.

The older I get, the earlier it gets late.

Being an adult is just walking around wondering what you’re forgetting.

Regular naps prevent old age, especially if you take them while driving.
