One more procedural vote in the US House is all that stands between a tax overhaul bill and a formal signing of the legislation by President Trump. He announced a news conference will be held later today. The Senate vote was 51-48. The results were announced by Vice President Mike Pence, who was the presiding officer, in a session that ended after midnight, this morning.
Corporate tax reduction drops from 35% to 21%, and is permanent. Tax reduction for individuals is temporary.
Marks the first major legislative triumph for the President.

Wish the two major political parties would reach out to the other side, and work together. Neither willing to ‘give an inch’ with all eyes on next election.
Same deal at the state level, been that way for years and gets worse rather than better. Sad truth, seems to be spreading to some units of local government, not so much in Bladen, not yet.
