Thoughts While ShavingThe circus continues in D.C., the latest polls for Congress range from 9 percent approval to 25 percent, depending on the poll, compared with President Trumps 40 plus percent ratings.

Interesting, Democrats condemning Republicans, Republicans condemning Democrats and after the latest release of Republican’s version of FBI ‘bad conduct’, it has Republicans and Democrats condemning Republicans.

That’s what we sent them to D.C. for, right?  I thought they were there to take care of a budget that was due in October 2017.  Discuss a fence on the Mexican border, deal with the DREAMER issue and other important issues.  Go figure…

I have never thought term limits for Congress would be good, bureaucrats would be in charge.  ‘Bout to change my mind.  Can’t get much worse.

So, how about the Super Bowl?  Congratulations to the Eagles!  Party time in Philadelphia.  It’s been a long wait for Philly fans and the team.  Half time show—mostly positive comments.  About as many comments on ads as half-time show, some very good, some OK, according to those who judge.

More Winston Churchill quotes, courtesy of one of our faithful readers:

Life is fraught with opportunities to keep your mouth shut.

In the course of life, I have often had to eat my words, and I must confess that I have always found it a wholesome diet.

We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.
