Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingWe live in interesting, but troubling times.  With Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Messenger, LinkedIn, Twitter, and so many more social news sources, and more coming, apparently anyone can write anything about anyone, anytime with or without facts.  We need to be aware of Fake News that originates at home and abroad.

Ever check these sources, Snopes or FactCheck or some other fact-finding source, before sending questionable news forward and spreading more fake news?

None are perfect, but maybe the Golden Rule should be our guide.  ‘Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do To You’.  Applicable in business, government, places of worship, anywhere.

Can we all do a better job?  I include myself.  We can’t stop what is happening around the nation and world, but we can clean up our own ‘backyard’.  I constantly remind myself that none are perfect, no not one, despite what we may think.

Sorry, woke up this morning with this on my mind.  Tired of mud-slinging, backbiting, lies, distortions, bad-eggs, call it what you want.

No news is bad as well.  Rumors and innuendoes are not good.  Locally, BladenOnline attempts to get the facts, print the news and make it available to all, at no cost.  Despite our best efforts, we are not perfect, but a great source for local news.

Remember when a handshake was a deal?  Now takes a ‘ream’ of paper and a team of attorneys to close a simple deal.

Our world has changed so much, some by technology, but we are still human beings and we still have an obligation to treat everyone with respect, friend or foe.

Now, could you please help ‘this old jack-leg’ get down from his ‘stump’?

Another great week for BladenOnline, thanks to the efforts of the staff, sponsors and readers:
