Remember when older relatives used plants in one form or another as medicine?
Remember bomb shelters? Lots of conversation during the Cuban crisis.
Ever depend on well water for drinking and baths? Took a bath in a tin tub?
Ever try Pokeweed? How ’bout walking the railroad tracks? Ever visited a fortune teller?
One final thought, What would you like on your tombstone?
Ever see a Burma Shave sign? In the 30s and 40s, before interstates, Burma Shave signs would be posted along roadways, in nearby fields. Small red signs with white latters. 5 signs, about 100 feet apart, each containing 1 line of a 4 line couplet. The number 5 signs advertised Burma Shave, a popular shaving cream.
