Congratulations to Bladen County’s singing pharmacist, Bruce Dickerson. While a student at UNC, Mr. Dickerson was a member of The Clefs, a popular singing group. According to numerous sources, members of the group recently re-assembled to harmonize once more, as they celebrated their 40th anniversary.
Did you see CBS 60 Minutes Sunday evening? One segment of the news program featured Bill Whitaker, longtime CBS reporter with Steve Sandvoss, Illinois elections chief. The topic was how Russians hacked the state wide system, and others across the U.S. The Illinois elections I.T. department made the discovery a couple of months before the 2016 General Elections. They stressed, no votes were changed, but Russians were contacted, as well as other state election officials across the United States. According to Sandvoss, it appears the purpose was to create doubt in our elections system, to de-stabilize the process. Leads one to believe there is more than has been openly discussed on the topic.
Patrick Reed held off all challengers Sunday, in the final round of the 2018 Masters Golf Tournament to pick up his first green coat. Can’t imagine the feeling! The Augusta, Georgia layout is one of the best in the world, and one of the most difficult admission tickets in the world. The organizers are in control and have been since the early days of the prestigious event.
NC Primary will be held Tuesday May 8th.
