Thoughts While ShavingMy long time favorite computer is having the same problem I suffer from….slowing down, can’t remember and occasionally just goes blank.

Financial news, the fed announced a rate increase, the national debt is growing at a rate of $45.486 dollars per second and Social Security is running out of money.  Crank up the press.

Fayetteville Observer had a thought provoking article yesterday.  25% of the Bladen County children in foster care are result of the Opioid crisis.  The only good thing about the article was Bladen’s rate was the lowest among area counties.  Sampson’s rate was 65%, Robeson 59% and Columbus was at 43%.  Pitiful.

East Bladen graduate, Sincere ‘Skippy’ Smith departs for Tampa, Florida this weekend.  He was recently drafted by the NY Yankees.  He will most likely play in a short season rookie league.  His road ahead is difficult, but, how many of us would give just about anything for the opportunity.
