In the summer time, when the temps are in the 90s, we long for cold weather, then when temps drop below freezin’, we can’t wait for summer. Typical, just can’t be satisfied.
Remember when cut ‘n sew operations were located throughout the county? Went the same way as new auto dealerships…closed up and left town. Our changin’ world.
We tend to look back when youngsters could get a job working on a farm. Today, huge machinery has eliminated most. Can’t look back, focus on the future.
Looking for a job or a better job? One of a couple of options, go to work or go to Bladen Community College and learn a skill or get a better education, either bets the heck out of doing nothing.
Star Communications video crew does a great job, most recent is a nice presentation of the ribbon cutting at the nearly renovated Tory Hole Park. They have done other work in the area including, but not limited to, the Town of Elizabethtown, White Lake and some businesses in the area, short videos….Good stuff.
One final reminder of the Summer Sounds FREE Concerts. This evening, the Legendary Motown Revue will provide the music at Cape Fear Farmer’s Market. Bring a chair and a hand fan and enjoy.
