Bladen County is blessed with so many wonderful volunteers. Think of the many fundraisers, and other popular events that are held countywide on a regular basis, all the work of volunteers.

One example is the JW & Martha Black scholarship effort sponsored by the Bladenboro Rotary Club today. A delicious pancake breakfast, with proceeds to benefit a worthy high school senior with a scholarship.

Another example of volunteers doing a good deed is the BBQ plate sale from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Dublin Elementary School Cafeteria today, along with a cake auction and all proceeds benefit Darby Carroll Bordeaux, who is dealing with some serious health issues. Hope to see you there.

Check our Events section for updates and add yours to the list.

There’s nothing like volunteers who believe in a cause.
