Thoughts While Shaving
Try to be positive, but more bad news than good on any given day…
Three in custody after third-generation trooper shot in Wilson County, NC late Monday….Good news, if you can call it good, is the trooper’s injuries are not life threatening
No resolution to federal situation, thousands required to work, receiving no compensation while our leaders accomplish very little, if anything in disagreement over funding for a wall along the Mexican border.  Can’t imagine the frustration of government workers attempting to take care of family and pay the bills, while those causing the problem are still receiving compensation….
Some good news, 13 year old female in Wisconsin appears to be OK after nearly 3 months of ‘being held against her will’ by someone she did not know.  The ‘someone’ also killed her parents and is now in jail under $5 million bond.
Nearby, in Columbus County a hearing is set to determine who the legal sheriff is or should be.  And here at home in Bladen,  locals and others in the 9th congressional district, counties along the South Carolina border all the way to Mecklenburg (Charlotte), have no representation in DC due to what appears to be illegal or improper handling of ballots, in Bladen and other nearby counties, in recent and past elections…
There is much good news, I am sure, but, too often the ‘bad’ appears to out weigh the ‘good’.  Say a prayer for all…
Unrelated….read an article by Richard Branson, founder of Virgin group…Very successful individual, associated with the Virgin Airlines.  As a young man, attempting to be productive as a young entrepreneur, he decided to grow Christmas trees.  Should be a good bet…however, after planting or setting them out, he returned later to check on his investment, only to learn his project was not going well….animals had eaten most of his young crop….Such is life…a learning experience…
Life is the art of drawing without an eraser…John W. Gardner
There are two great days in a person’s life – the day we are born and the day we discover why.  William Barclay
Life is like riding a bicycle.  To keep your balance, you must keep moving.  Albert Einstein
