So many positive things going on around us this week…..Budget meeting for the Board of Education on today, Special Olympics on Friday morning at Elizabethtown Middle School and Bladen We Care Gala Friday evening at The Venue at White Lake…Volunteers are needed for Special Olympics and tickets are still available for The Gala…$100 per couple…
I see and hear comments about the $’s being spent on the new interchange at NC 87 bypass and US 701….The decision was not made last month or last year….Information meetings have been held all around…for the past 3 or 4 years…some well attended, some poorly attended…mostly by those with a vested interest….Now, construction is underway and it is like a surprise for some…..The time for comments was earlier at Public Information meetings held in Elizabethtown and covered by BladenOnline before and after, and contact info was provided by BladenOnline for comments by those who could not or chose not to attend. In the meantime, like it or not…the project is moving forward…..Quarrel, complain…grip, moan, groan….The silence was deafening at comment time…
