Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Today is black Friday, maybe the biggest shopping day of the year.  Hopefully, shopping begins at home, but no doubt many will be heading to regional shopping centers.

Our thanksgiving holiday began on a high note and continued throughout the day, no shopping just food and family on a beautiful day, followed by more time together today and a class reunion tomorrow.

Three NFL games yesterday.  Today, college football including the Tar Heels and Wolfpack, squaring off at noon time today.  And, high school football tonight.  The Eagles of East Bladen (8-4) travel to Ayden-Grifton (9-3) in the NCHSAA Class 2A Play-offs.  The school is located at 7653 NC 11, Ayden, NC between Kinston and Greenville, NC.

Closed or damaged roadways appear to be having little effect on travel in the area.

Been thinking about how fortunate we are to live in Bladen County, rural, eastern NC, many living on limited income but so much to be proud of.

More and more, local folks are providing recreational activities this time of the year that attracts tourists.  Among them, Lu Mil (Christmas Lights), Allen Brothers Hunting Preserve, Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery, Elizabethtown Inn, Green’s Pond Cabins and more .  All those mentioned have websites, as well as others.  We also feature hundreds of acres of state parks land. Many reasons to visit Bladen this time of the year.

I know, I probably left off one or more, other attractions.  Sorry, just kinda shooting from the hip.

BladenOnline continues to provide News You Can Use.  Erin, Charlotte, John, Ray and others constantly on the move, and we are better informed because of their efforts.

When you choke a smurf, what colour does it turn?

Why doesn’t glue stick to the inside of the bottle?

Why is it that rain drops but snow falls?
