Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingThe past weekend was interesting.
The Bladen We Care Gala was held Friday night, a huge success.  Saturday, the March winds were constant and at White Lake the moss in the trees was holding on and the white caps were beautiful.
Hopefully the Sunday morning frost failed to damage the ‘local berry crop and if you watched the Masters Golf Tournament, you no doubt saw a melt-down by Jordan Spieth who had a 5 stroke lead early on the back nine, only to lose it on #12. The 22-year-old failed to win back-to-back championships.  He is still a brilliant golfer, with a pocketful of money.
Did you know that as much as 20 percent of the population suffers from “white coat syndrome,” in which blood pressure surges when measured in a doctor’s office?  That is a quote from WebMD.  A real problem for many.
We live in a violent world and bad news travels fast.
I am not a NBA fan, but, Steph Curry (Golden State Warriors) is an exciting basketball player and a good role model for all.
Today our featured baseball team is the 1977 Elizabethtown Jaycee team:
Neil Gooden, Bruce McKoy, Greg Tatum, Jeffrey Futrell, Cynthia Lesane, Ronnie Bordeaux, James Reeves, Ronald Thomas, Jamie Lein, Craig Smith, Mitchell McKiver, Dale Brennan, and John Inman.  Coaches included Breece Horton, Richard Green and Ron Huggins.
It’s Monday and hopefully back to a normal routine.
Nothing brings neighbors together, like a broken elevator.
Life is beautiful….from Friday to Monday.
I’m not fat, just easier to see.
