Happy Easter to ALL. … For most, no church as we have known it, but most will have a service, Facebook, or some other…

The Easter feast at grandmom’s house not likely to take place this year … We just adjust…

So, how are you dealing with the ‘virus issue?

I actually cut grass yesterday … had a relative who shared some toilet tissue … visited outside for a short time … following the rules in-play.

And, I read BladenOnline … Enjoyed the news, but being a huge sports fan, read John Clark’s Sports Page … all about his visit to various national sporing events and interviewing Gaylord Perry in Clarkton several years ago. I too, interviewed the Williamston, NC native. I was employed at WBLA. He was in Clarkton representing a tractor company, if my memory is correct … Maybe Allis-Chalmer???? He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991. Great pitcher, often accused of throwing a spitter.

Brother Jim Perry also had a great career as a Major League pitcher. … Another pitcher from the same part of the state at about the same time … Jim ‘Catfish’ Hunter from Hertford, NC … another Hall of Famer…

John Clark does a great job of keeping up with Dixie Youth, Junior High and Senior high sports in all sports … Great article on Brandon Council, former West Bladen football player transferring from Akron University to Auburn. Council, a Tar Heel, NC native, is a big offensive lineman … 6-4, 325 pounds. He was a big young man when he played for the Knights…

Also other Bladen natives doing well … Suggest you check John Clark’s daily sports page. … One more sports article I will mention … Saqaun Dent named 1st Team All-American Division !!! Basketball.

And, on the News Page, the Guy Owens article … Only on BladenOnline…

A great way to spend time when you have more time on your hands and little to do and nothing on TV worth watching, except local news … and updates on the virus issue…
