Thoughts While Shaving for April 12

Spread the love

I failed to mention yesterday that the National Weather Service weather station at the local airport recorded 1.6 inches of rainfall in the wee hours of Sunday morning … Not sure how wide spread the precipitation was … welcomed…

Weather for today … Sunny, with a high near 82 and west wind 7 to 13 mph, and gusts as high as 21 mph. Clear tonight, low around 54. Tuesday, sunny, with a high near 79 and a north wind in the 9 mph range. Looking ahead, 30% chance of rain Wednesday, increasing to 50% chance Wednesday night … Highs mostly in the lower 70s later this week … Spring time is the favorite time of year for many…

A year ago, the pandemic was getting worse, but we had little idea of the disruptions just ahead…

Many, I think, agree better days are just ahead … Will be happy when we return to normal, whatever normal is…

Saw an interview with US Fed Chairman recently, still cautious, but a prediction that the economy was on the right track, better days ahead, COVID-19 will continue to be a problem if we get careless … Goal is for more jobs, inflation in the 2% range … business returning to near normal…

Keep circling the block in Bladenboro, anxious to see progress in the area scheduled for demolition and rebuilding planned for a portion of the downtown area … Would be great to see our small towns begin to return as they were in the 50s, 60s and 70s … No guarantees, but worth trying … Nothing ventured, nothing gained…

Great grand-daughter 3 weeks old, good reports, looking forward to seeing her soon…

Masters Golf Tournament was great, a thing of beauty…

Pray for our sick friends … and for families who have lost loved ones recently…
