Easter Monday … Keep an eye on the sky … Unsettled weather … mainly before 11 a.m.

Showers and thunderstorms. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. High near 83, with a south wind 21 to 24 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 57. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming north after midnight…

Tomorrow (Tuesday) … Sunny, with a high near 76. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Wind gusts as high as 16 mph.

Reminder of new rules in effect as of 5 p.m. today … Gov. Roy Cooper has signed an executive order related to social distancing policies at open stores and other pubic places…

Effective 5 p.m. today, stores may not have a number of people inside at one time that is more than 20% of the stated fire capacity or either five (5) people for every 1,000 square feet. Numerous mandatory protective measures applying to retail outlets, nursing homes, etc.
