Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Robert Hester, Founder of BladenOnline.comThe threat of rain Tuesday was just that, a threat. Rainfall totals at the Curtis Brown Airport were in the .03 inch range … as old-timers would say, “not enough to lay the dust.”

And prospects for rain over the next few days not real good. Sunny today with a high near 75 with wind gusting as high as 18 mph. Clear tonight, low around 47 degrees. Thursday, more of the same … sunny, with a high near 73 and more wind.

Looking ahead for prospects of much needed rain … a 20% chance Friday night, 40% Saturday, Sunday and Sunday night 40 to 50% chance of rain. A slight chance of rain early next week … as well … Hopeful.

A reminder of the new schedule for US 701 across the Cape Fear River … One hour breaks in the AM and PM for the month to allow construction to continue on the new bridge … Tory Hole Park will be closed most, if not all, of May … again, due to bridge construction…

It’s painful to see the stock market ‘drop’ for many, retirement packages are tied to the market…

May Day just around the corner … begins the longest month of the year for me as a student at Bladenboro High School … many, many, many years ago.
