White Lake waters are safe. That is the finding of state officials who have tested and determined all is well, good news for the locals and those who come from far and wide to enjoy boating, swimming and other water related activities.
The latest edition of Business North Carolina features an article authored by WRAL-TV’s Bryan Mims about White Lake. “Sensibly SHABBY” is all about “White Lake’s heyday of tour boats and water-ski shows has passed, but thousands still trek to a tiny corner of Bladen County every summer.” Good reading….
Received a call from a long time resident of Elizabethtown related to my Thoughts about TV problems I continue to have with Time Warner service at White Lake. We hear about the need for more togetherness as we deal with the troubles/opportunities of our time. The pastors and congregations of Tar Heel Baptist Church and Clark’s Chapel invite all to “Together as ONE” Sunday beginning at 4:30 p.m. A meal, singing featuring the choirs of each church, and both pastors will deliver a sermon. Youngsters will enjoy bounce houses and more. Everyone is invited. It will be held at Tar Heel Baptist, located at 521 Tar Heel Ferry Road. An offering will be taken and shared with Tar Heel Middle and Plain View Primary schools.
