Before getting too deep into weather stats … I am just about sure there is a direct relationship between the number of Hershey’s Kisses I enjoyed … with what I saw when I stepped on our scales … Or maybe the scales are self destructing … Think it’s the Kisses…mmmm.

Tuesday, a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 88. Forecast about the same thru Wednesday … High Thursday and Friday in the upper 80s and no mention of rain ’til Friday…
Back to School time is fast approaching … Back to School for ‘Traditional’ students return on August 26, a couple of weeks from today. Sports schedules begin this week … Google Bladen County Master Sports Schedule … West Bladen football team will participate in the Sampson County Jamboree at Midway High School Friday, August 16. East Bladen at West Brunswick (scrimmage) Saturday, August 17, 8:30 p.m. Other info on Bladen County Master Sports Schedule … It’s that time of year.
PGA event … Aaron Rai won the Wyndham Championship at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro with a -18 score, 2 shots better than Max Greyserman…
Austin Dillon apparently played hard ball in the NASCAR overtime race in Richmond Sunday night. Dillon needed a win to advance to the playoffs next month … Joey Logano had “harsh words” about Dillon’s winning move after the event.
Many were glued to the TV for the finals of the Paris Olympics … US athletes had a great couple of weeks … captured the most trophies during the events. Preparation underway for 2028 games in Los Angeles.
The New York Stock Exchange has been strong in recent days … Back to work for many locals today … Vacation season is coming to a close … Labor Day is the next big event.
