Thoughts While Shaving for August 14

August 14, 2020 … Been about 5 months since the beginning, of COVID-19 … Seems like longer than that, but saw some farmers harvesting corn recently … seems like the growing season has zoomed by … Just growing older, faster.

Good to hear Donald J. Trump Jr. visited Bladen recently … was at Allen Bros Hunting Preserve, along with 9th District Congressman Dan Bishop. From New York City to rural Bladen County, all are welcome…

Frustrating sound, rise early and hear water running … in the commode…

Mentioned a piece of mail, mailed in Dunn, Wednesday, August 5th … arrived yesterday, August 13. No rush … Political slicks appear to arrive, daily. Have a suggestion to assist the postal service about raising more money … Raise the price of mailing all ‘slicks’ and other forms of unwanted mail.

Does everyone receive calls from the folks ‘pitching’ a warranty on your vehicle? Had their last call a half a dozen times over recent weeks.

Still contemplating fall sports in January, February … Better than not at all … Tough on students hopeful of playing at the next level … At least there is a plan…

How long before frost? Long time … just kinda tired of mowing weeds … Ever rake the yard where there was no grass? Was easy to tell if anyone came while you were away, by the tire tracks…

Guess you can tell, not much to talk about but the weather and there is no change … Mostly cloudy, high upper 80s and a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” J.K. Rowling

Sing in the shower.

Keep secrets.
