Thoughts While Shaving for August 16

It’s Sunday … August 16, 2020. Time for worship, and there are numerous services online, on Facebook, drive-in services and some may have returned to the sanctuary … At Wesley’s Chapel near Elizabethtown, still meeting at 11 a.m. in the multi-purpose building, as well as online … all are welcomed.

Frankly, I miss Sunday School, hopeful we can soon return to normal…

It’s Back to School for many, and confusion reigns, so it seems … for students, teachers and administrators, as well…

I spent some time at White Lake Saturday … many on the lake, boating, skiing and just having fun.

As a youngster, we all worked as farmers, sharecroppers, all summer long. If it was a pretty good year, financially … we were rewarded with a weekend trip to Ocean Drive (now North Myrtle Beach), beat the ‘heck’ out of staying home, but could just about bet it would be a cool weekend…

Misplaced my cell phone yesterday, still missing, feel like I am ‘lost’ without it … Questioned, where did you leave it … Heck, I have no idea…

Weather forecast, much like yesterday and the day before … A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. West wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall mounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms … Enjoy…

If at first you don’t succeed, redefine success.

I drive way to fast to worry about cholesterol.

When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane and going the wrong way.
