Thoughts While Shaving for August 17

It’s Back to School time … Usually, it would be appropriate to advise drivers to be aware of youngsters along our roadways, eagerly waiting for a school bus to pick them up and head to school … This year is different … Best of luck, lots of concerns for teachers, students and administration.

A reminder of ‘hot spots’ throughout the county, provided for youngsters, with a new computer, but without internet access.

We are all learning about new ways of communications … one I have not ‘mastered’ yet is Zoom. Tough for senior citizens to understand it all.

Never been a back-to-school with so many headwinds … Best of luck to all involved in the process…

Still looking for my cellphone … Quiet time … no emails, no texting, no phone calls … kinda lost, but today, begin the search, all over again … HELP!!!

Weather forecast for today … short and good. Mostly sunny, after an early morning fog, with a high near 87. Looking ahead, near 90 tomorrow with a slight chance of rain … 20%.

Nearing the end of a most unusual summer … Labor Day a couple of weeks away … General elections little over 11 weeks away…

“Give every day the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life.” Mark Twain

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
