Thoughts While Shaving For August 3

Spread the love

221 active cases of COVID-19 in Bladen County as of yesterday … 36 more than on Friday. COVID-19 kills and I am a coward, don’t want to die … I may die today, but not because I do not have the shot. I passed by the Bladen County Health Department yesterday … saw a tent outside, not sure but think that is where you can get a shot, or at least more info. Saw 2 vehicles and workers moving around. Call or visit the Bladen County Health Department if you want a shot … No cost…

About 60% of Bladen residents have not received a shot … makes Bladen the only red county in the state, or was at one time … Seems we are recognized for all the wrong reasons … Good folks, sometimes we have to ‘think it thru’ … and yes, heard of some who had the shot and still suffered from COVID, but the death rate is very low for those who have had the shot…

Stopped by a local grocery store while uptown … a pretty good sized crowd there … could not help but wonder how many have been vaccinated … I have and I will again if another is called for. I’m a coward when it comes to dying … We have come a long way, but more to be done … if you are not protected…

I am enjoying the Olympics … not ‘glued’ to the TV, but watch for a while, turn it off or to Andy Griffith or some other such channel and move on…

Dang weeds are taking over … mowed Friday, need to do it again, but not today…

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, possibly a thunderstorm after 1 p.m. High near 78, windy with gusts up to 15 mph … 80% chance of rain today and tonight…

Weather forecast is not bad for this time of year…
