First things first … Thursday was another hot, hot day … Official high temp was 97 degrees … 96.8 to be exact. The heat index … 102 … and the next couple of days may be about the same…

Friday … A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Sunny with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 102 and a 20% chance of precipitation.

Friday night … A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Patchy fog after 4 p.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy with a low around 72 … and a 20% chance of rain.

Saturday, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny with a high near 92 … heat values as high as 100 … 20% chance of rain…

Sunday, sunny with a high near 93 … and a 40% chance of precipitation. Labor Day (Monday), showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy with a high near 88 and a 60% chance of rain.

Same type weather thru next Thursday … slightly lower temps.
