I was so “pumped up” about the possibility of rain … and as of early today … Not much to brag about … Today, hopeful…
Yesterday’s high temp a nice 74 degrees … but no rain…
Overnight … No serious rain, although some light showers in portions of the county, low in the low 60s….
Today (Wednesday), showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 p.m., then showers likely. Temperature rising to near 68 by 10 a.m., then falling to around 59 during the remainder of the day … A south breeze with gusts as high as 26 mile per hour … New rainfall … amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible…
Tonight, mostly cloudy with a low around 32 … windy, gusts as high as 20 mph.
Thursday, sunny with a high near 52 … Mostly cloudy at night … low around 30. Next best chance of rain, Saturday (Church Day) and Saturday night…
Quoting the National Weather Service … Rainfall amounts over the past 30 days were sporadic in our area, below normal.

Anyone else see what appeared to be a military plane, attached by some type cable, to a small plane … “mid to late morning.” I spotted just north of Abbotsburg, headed northeast … maybe refueling? Had to take a second peek … Not sure … Saw a post from Bladenboro Mayor … We both apparently saw the same…
I guess we never are to old to think about Christmas as a youngster … Stocking stuffer included “Kits” and/or “Mary Jane’s” candy … often one or two of each…
