You are invited to the Christmas Cantata Sunday 6 p.m. at Wesley’s Chapel UMC, Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown, NC. ‘Christmas makes everything NEW’ is the title of this year’s musical. Some beautiful songs, we have some amazing young talent blended in with the older members. … Promises to be a fun event … hopefully gets you in the Christmas Spirit.
Now, I know there are others musical programs in the area and if you feel you need to attend another, fine … bet you will be welcome at any and all.
Remember the final few days of school prior to Christmas when you were a youngster? All I could think about was some ‘time off’. Then dad had so many chores for us to do, I looked forward to returning to school. You know … can’t be satisfied.
Saw an article recently about wealthy, mostly large counties, authors were comparing more rural areas in numerous categories. I love where I live. … Traveled to all 100 counties for 25 years, never found a place I preferred. … I love calling Bladen County home.
Can’t we all agree to support our elected officials, regardless of party, if we so desire??? Thought that was what the USA was all about. Disagreement is OK … hate is not. The good book says love … over and over and over again. … I don’t hate anyone (at least I try), but I do disagree, from time to time. … I am not a robot. … I don’t just follow the leader. I try using my ‘noggin’ sometimes.
