Thoughts While Shaving

If you, or someone you know is depending on a stimulus bill to pay for Santa Claus, provide food for the holidays or help pay the rent … the wait continues … All talk up to this point … but talks continue … Not sure of all the hang-ups, according to some sources, one of the sticking points is $600 or $1200 check for eligible individuals. Nothing happens ’til members of a Senate committee make the final, tough decisions and the bill moves on and is approved by a majority of the Senate body, then to the House of Representatives for approval, then on to the Presidents desk for his signature … A lot of ‘ifs’.

In the meantime, Santa is preparing for his annual journey … less than a week away.

Winter has arrived … oops, will arrive Monday … but cold weather has arrived…

Forecast for today … Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing with a high near 48. North wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Clear, tonight with a low around 29. Saturday, sunny, with a high near 53 and a calm northeast wind around 5 mph.

NFL action late last night … LA Chargers 30 – Las Vegas Raiders 27 (OT)…

May not be important now, but probably will be soon … Bladen County Soiled Waste Hours for the Christmas holidays … All convenience centers will be closed Wednesday (normal schedule). All will be open Thursday from 7 AM – 5 PM … All closed on Friday (Christmas Day), but will re-open … normal operations on Saturday, December 26th.
