This promises to be a very busy week … the first week of the last month, 2019.

Filing begins for political offices from the local courthouse to the White House … actually begins at noon, today.

Bladen County Commissioners meet at 6:30 p.m. today, and one of the first items on the agenda is the election of a Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Charles Ray Peterson is the current Chair. If the past is any indication of what is likely to happen … that could change.

The Elizabethtown Christmas parade went off on schedule … 3 p.m. after several hours of rain …. actually between 1.25 and 1.50 inches of rain, depending on location.

Late night NFL game results … Houston Texans 28 – New England Patriots 22.

Tonight … Seattle Seahawks vs Minnesota Vikings.

Politics at the national level stinks … both parties. … We know what CNN, MSNBC and FOX reports. … Frankly, I don’t trust any for the whole truth. … But, not much different from the past and we survived … Nixon, Clinton and now Trump. … Guess, all have a job to do.

The Christmas Shoe Box ministry continues strong. … This year, 10,041 boxes collected in the local area that will go Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse for distribution to children around the world. The numbers are impressive and continues to grow. … A salute to all involved.
