Winter has arrived! Today is the first official day of winter … Sunrise at 7:18 AM and sunset at 5:08 PM … 9 hours and 50 minutes … ’bout the same tomorrow…

High temp today near 56, 30% chance of rain. Mostly clear skies tonight, with a low around 39 and windy … gusts as high as 18 mph.

A reminder … Bladen County Solid Waste hours of operation will be a little different … All convenience centers will close Wednesday (as usual) reopen Thursday from 7 AM – 5 PM … closed Friday, and reopen Saturday, regular hours…

During the ‘hustle and bustle’ of the holidays … a good time to read, if you find something interesting. Stumbled across an article written by Mathew Cooper, CEO of a technology company he co-founded 7 years ago … EarnUp … the company manages money for individuals, I think … Cooper has resigned due to mental illness, he said so … He is mentally sick and wants to talk about it … rather than hide … Google Mathew Cooper, EarnUp CEO, for his thoughts … Interesting reading … We usually want to keep mental illness quiet … not him…

NFL action last night … Cleveland Browns recorded their 10th win of the season, beating the NY Giants (5-9) 20-6. The Browns have lost 4 games this season…

The Monday Night game pits the Bengals vs the Steelers…

Hopefully, Congress will finally pass the long talked about stimulus bill today.

If you have waited ’til the last minute to pay 2020 property taxes, wait is ’bout over … Penalty added January 5th or near that date.
