“Baby, its cold outside” … Yesterday’s high temp … 51 degrees … Overnight low … Mid 20s…
Today (Sunday – Church Day) … Sunny with a high near 43, northeast wind around 6 mph today … Clear, tonight, with a low around 22 degrees.
Looking ahead … Monday, sunny with a high near 49 … Temps will rise beginning Tuesday … High near 55 and a 30% chance of rain.
Shopping deadline coming to a close … Old St. Nick arrives Tuesday night…
I am long removed as a youngster … but still think of the excitement of Christmas … As a youngster, Christmas began at church … church play, drawing names, swapping gifts … going into the woods and chopping down a tree … decorating it with homemade items … All in preparation of Santa’s arrival … It was fun…
Hard candy … Kits and Mary Janes, silver bells, colored eggs … and a few gifts … usually wearing apparel…
Followed by a trip to grannies house to meet our cousins … and enjoy a feast … all home cooked, and so good…
Oh yes, a couple of weeks out of school…
“What is Santa’s favorite kind of candy? Jolly ranchers.”
“What did Adam say on the day before Christmas? It’s Christmas, Eve.”
