Attended a retirement event for Jeannie McQueen yesterday. 40 plus years working in the Bladen County Economic Development Office. She has been the individual who has produced more money for economic development than anyone ever for the county. Millions of dollars for economic development in every corner of the county. Her co-workers planned for growth, but little happened until she wrote the grant and $s were received and accounted for … Family and friends celebrated her retirement … enjoyed comments, music, food and more … She deserves some time off … We wish her well…
