Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Out of quarantined for COVID-19 … Not surprised I had it … Assisting a friend in his time of need … No regrets, except that he passed away, a week later … Sympathies extended to his family…

Our small family and others as well are in a celebration mood … Granddaughter and her long time close friend have announced their engagement … Good news for all … Both mature, well educated, hard working folks…

Jersey Mike’s Subs is open, across from Kentucky Fried Chicken in Elizabethtown … Wish them the best … Hope they can find and keep quality ‘help’.

Ever seen as much confusion, worldwide as now? Sometime … hmmm … stop the world and let me off, as it appears to be spinning out of control … But, must never give up…

February 1, more cold weather on the way … 29 degrees at 5 a.m. in Bladen County, NC. Sunny today with a high near 56. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 31. Wednesday, mostly sunny with a high around 60 … Looking ahead, high for Thursday and Friday in the low 70s with a pretty good chance of precipitation…

When I think of where I am today and where I could be, I consider myself to be a lucky son-of-a-gun … Good family, good friends … some a little under the weather, hopefully health improves soon. Truthfully, if we could skip a month, think I would vote to eliminate February … Finally outlived the need to cut green wood to warm by and not planning to plow anymore fields with a horse or mule…

When I walked across the stage at Bladenboro High School in 1956 to receive my diploma, never dreamed I would have traveled such a long winding road … from there to here … Good trip…

“Life takes up one long, winding road to fulfill its seemingly endless journey, and when we find ourselves stumble upon the forks in the road, we choose wisely.”

“Good things are coming down the road. Just don’t stop walking.” Robert Warren Painter Jr.

“If you can look at the Sunset and Smile, then you still have hope.”
