Thoughts While ShavingDuke-Carolina game, always a good game with interesting comments from the diehards on both side.

Closer home, East and West Bladen varsity basketball teams split, with the Eagle girls concluding regular season play with a 20-4 record, defeating West (11-13) 52-33.  The Eagles host Union Tuesday at 5 p.m. and the Lady Knights will host Wallace-Rose Hill in the first round of the conference tournament.

West Bladen defeated East Bladen 72-54 in the boys competition to conclude regular season play. West Bladen will host Heide Trask next week and East’s next opponent will be Clinton or Wallace-Rose Hill.  Pairings are expected to be announced today (Friday).

Small business operators provide a valuable service.  Not an easy task.  To often, they work hard with little to show for it.

Remember Valentine’s Day….Tuesday, February 14.

Can you imagine being the new president or governor.  Before you find the nearest restroom, you are being attacked from all directions.  Comes with the office.  Just remember, when seeking the office you had all the answers.

Been trying to cut-back on soft drinks, so, drinking more water.  There just aren’t enough restrooms.  Maybe more than I thought, just never visited some of them.  No problem, the effort will likely end soon, usually does.

Remember our sick friends and neighbors, yours and mine.
