The latest COVID-19 update as of Wednesday, February 9 … Still a serious issue locally. 113 Bladen County citizens have died suffering from the dreaded disease. 10 more were patients at the Bladen County Hospital. As of the date mentioned, 9,026 Bladen County residents have reported positive Cases, 29.4% of the county population. 8,696 have recovered.
Statewide, 21,482 deaths have been attributed to the disease and 3,812 were hospitalized as of the same date. Numbers improving, but serious business.

A group of Lenior County leaders were in the county yesterday (Wednesday) visiting with Bladen County EDC staff. Just one of many groups from across the state to visit the Industrial Park. About a dozen leaders … in the party … Most visits are recommended by regional and state EDC officials.
Noticed the cleaner roadways in parts of the county. Saw folks from the Bladen County jail bagging trash recently. Folks who litter the roadways should be charged and forced to clean up … maybe in cold, rainy weather … Make it a day to remember…
