Congratulations to Elizabethtown City Council replacing Eddie Madden as city manager … Dane Rideout, current city manager of Bluefield, West Virginia, will be Madden’s replacement. Madden announced recently he had accepted the position of county manager in Columbus County. Rideout is coming with an impressive resume, 25 years in the military service including some time at Fort Bragg … and nearly 10 years with the city of Bluefield, WV, as city manager. Understand he and his bride have a daughter in the Fayetteville area, who is expecting a baby soon … They had visited the area and even purchased a lot at Bay Tree sometime in the past … Sometimes thing just work out for the good of all, hopefully that is what is happening at this time…
