Happy Valentine’s Day.
Thinking back to early childhood and how we made valentine cards, well not necessarily cards, used regular white paper, all you needed was a red crayon. If you kinda had your ‘eye’ on a classmate and was a little bashful, a valentine card could be an ‘icebreaker’….a way to make your thoughts known…Always made the teacher a card….I needed to stay in good standing with them.
Hope you remembered to do something special for your Valentine….If you forgot the card or a special gift, you best think fast about an alternate plan…..you could possibly escape the doghouse by taking him or her out to lunch.
Am I over reacting or is our area more likely to be in the news for some shameful cause, rather than good news?
I must tell you, as a youngster and as a young adult, there was no place in the county I felt uncomfortable, but not today. Drugs are destroying many and they seem to be everywhere. Sad indeed.
And, seems you can beat someone ‘half to death’ and post a $1,000 bond, maybe less. Killing an animal brings a more harsh penalty. I do not propose doing harm to an animal, but many times the penalty seems to be more harsh.
I have never wanted to be a law enforcement officer….and feel the same today. I am thankful for those who do choose that as a career and feel they put their lives in the line everyday. Thanks to all.
I understand, we can’t lock everyone up, but some need help, and it would be helpful to the general public if some were off the streets.
Not sure how on Valentine’s Day that those were my ‘Thoughts While Shaving.’
