A weather advisory has been issued … A strong cold front will push through the region on Sunday with gusty winds as high as 40-45 mph possible during the day. Isolated strong showers and thunderstorms ahead of the cold front may be able to produce wind gusts up to 50-60 mph.

Banks will be closed Monday … Presidents’ Day…

NCDOT has issued a news release related to Elwell Ferry … Will be closed due to high water. Expected to be back in service Tuesday, if all goes as planned.

Bladen County Commissioners will meet Monday night at the courthouse … usual time … 6:30 p.m. and in their meeting room in the lower level of the courthouse.
