Thoughts While Shaving
Spread the love

Thoughts While ShavingWe received rain we could use yesterday, 1.4 inches at the Hester household, but only .7 at the Curtis Brown Airport, a mere 3 miles, or so, away.  With March fast approaching, farmers will be in the field soon, putting seed in the ground.

Make a note, Rabies Clinics begin the first Saturday in March, continuing thru July.

When I see and hear of actions of our elected officials, primarily at the state and national level, I get frustrated.  Would love to see them forget politics and vote their conscience.  Both parties are GUILTY.

Why can’t we just get along?  Why should I say all kind of bad things about you because you are liberal or conservative?  We can practice what our conscience dictates without condemning others who think differently.  I know few, very few who are perfect.  I know some who apparently think they are.  If I have learned one thing in my many years is, I do not have all the answers, and do not know anyone on this earth who does.  I am willing to overlook your faults if you will do the same for me.

Let me step down from the ‘stump’.

From John Clark’s sports page…..3 Bladen County basketball teams play at Pender High School this evening as the Four County Conference Basketball Tournament is being held.  At 6 PM, East Bladen girls play Midway.  The 7:30 PM game pits West Bladen boys against East Bladen.

Clinton girls will take on the winner of tonights game.

Have you seen Mikayla Boykin play?  The young lady is one of those unusual players that come along occasionally that are game-breakers.  Last night she scored 26 points, had 10 assists, 10 steals and 12 rebounds as Clinton defeated West Bladen.  Boykin has committed to play at Duke next year.   John Clark has more details on our Sports Page.
