Cold weather has officially arrived … Temps all day long yesterday in the 20s and 30s.
Overnight, freezing rain, possibly sleet after 1 a.m. Low last night in the mid 20s with wind gusts as high as 15 mph and 100% chance of precipitation.
Today (Thursday), a slight chance of snow before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of rain between 1 p.m and 2 p.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 38 … wind gusts as high as 16 mph and 20% chance of precipitation.
Thursday night, mostly clear with a low around 19 … Friday, sunny with a high near 43 … Overnight low near 21…
Then warmer weather … Saturday and Sunday, high temps in the low to upper 50s.
The cold weather has caused some changes in our activities … schedules…
Bladen County Schools closed today … Bladen County employees will report for work 2 hours later than usual, including the waste convenience sites … All will open at 9 a.m. The transfer station at 10 a.m.
Makes us think about how nice it will be, hopefully, come March…
