Thoughts While Shaving for February 21

Spread the love

Sunday … When I was a youngster, I was very much aware of Sundays … Feed the animals, mama fed us and we went to church … No options, unless sick … and better be sick if you didn’t care for castor oil or some other type medication…

I think about things I heard when I was younger … some I heard from home, some from my early Sunday school teachers and occasionally from the pastor, whoever that may be … ex. … Jesus loves you; take you children to church, don’t just send them; and the golden rule … Do unto others as you would have them do unto you … And, there were others that I remember from time to time … Haven’t always followed as closely as I should … but the seeds were planted in my mind years ago … some sprouted, some probably died on the vine…

Beautiful day yesterday, if you did not go outside … sunny, windy … and improvement over recent days…

Forecast for today … good … Sunny, with a high near 50 and northeast wind 3 to 7 mph … Increasing clouds tonight, low near 34 … Monday, showers likely after 1 p.m. … Cloudy with a high near 64, windy with gust as high as 24 mph and a 70% chance of rain…

Tuesday thru Sunday … great, if you like sunny days with highs in the 50s and 60s and lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s…

See you in church this AM … if you are looking for a church to visit … they are plentiful … All are welcomed at Wesley Chapel, Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown…

Church signs observed…

“Feed you faith and your fears will starve to death.”

“Forgive your enemies, it messes up their heads.”

“Good or bad, your past will live on as long as you choose to recall it.”

“When life gives you more than you can stand…..kneel.”
