Thoughts While Shaving

I have trouble keeping up with politics close-by. Attempting to understand anything about one country invading another, in some far away place is more than I can comprehend…

Some of my friends have visited Moldova, a country sandwiched between Ukraine and Romania in Eastern Europe, and some have expressed concern about residents there that they have visited, some have had visitors from Moldova…

Mr. Issac Leinwand, the founder of Leinwand’s, came to Bladen from Ukraine.

Ruthless leaders in any part of the world, I do not understand…

Financial markets have been reacting to the Russian invasion of Ukraine … Was good to see a more normal reaction later in the day, yesterday, especially the stock market … Whatever happens, our nation and others will continue to react to whatever comes down the line … Thank God for America … not perfect, but I am so happy it’s my home.

I have no answers, just concerns…

Back in Bladen County, dense fog advisory early today, then warm, windy weather … Mostly sunny, with a high near 86 (in late February) gusts as high as 26 mph. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 45. Saturday, lower highs … partly sunny, with a high near 59 and windy. A 70% chance of rain Sunday with a high near 54 at church time.

March arrives Tuesday…

“He who marvels at the beauty of the world in summer will find equal cause for wonder and admiration in winter.” John Burroughs
