I enjoyed being a part of a team that broadcast area high school football games for 50 years … It was a thrill, every game. Occasionally, I meet someone, coach, player, just a friend who wants to talk about those days … and I am ready … Last night, was in a nearby town with family for our weekly get-to-gether … Saw individual heading toward me … One of my favorite high school coaches … Wayne Williamson, coached at several area schools, including West Columbus … Lost his spouse about a year ago … Had a great, short visit. He resides in Evergreen … One of the Good Guys…

The Hester’s, 5th of 6 celebrated his 75th birthday recently … with his immediate family and siblings present … Total of 6, and all still able to move about and take nourishment … Wish mom could see us now … Still meeting, still speaking and still enjoying the company of each other … Not all there for every weekly get-to-gether … Absences due to health issues and distance for one … Hopefully, mom is pleased…
