Thoughts While Shaving for January 16

A change in the weather is coming. … High temps today expected to be near 70, windy with gusts in the 30 mph range. Tonight, mostly clear skies, low around 33. Friday, sunny with a high near 48, low Friday night 31 degrees, and Saturday, a chance of showers, mostly cloudy with high temp in the mid 50s, chance of precipitation is 40%.

Bladen County again in the news for all the wrong reasons. Discontent at the state level, legislators meet and adjourn … can’t agree on a budget for 2019-20 and in D.C., big news is impeachment of the President.

What happened to ‘love thy neighbor as thyself’?. … Those that should be promoting the thought are a source of discontent.

And, a primary election is just a few weeks away … in Bladen, more unrest than I have seen in a long time…

I have my own thoughts … ‘Do unto others as you would have them do to you’…

Let’s turn to hymn number ???? and sing ‘Bless Be The Tie That Binds Our Hearts in Christian Love’…

We are all better than this … at least I hope and pray we are…

I’ve learned … That love, not time heals all wounds.

I’ve learned … That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I’ve learned … That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness and growth occurs while you’re climbing it.

I’ve learned … You cannot unsay a cruel word…

Don’t tell me … show me.
