Thoughts While ShavingToday, The 28th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. parade steps off at 11 a.m. today, through downtown E-town, followed by a celebration of the life of Dr. King at Elizabethtown Presbyterian Church.  Dr. Delton Farmer of Fayetteville will be the speaker.

Most governmental offices are closed today including the Bladen County Transfer Station.  All other county collection centers are open.

Bladen Republicans will meet at 6 p.m. today at San Jose Restaurant.

I know, kinda out of the blue, but ever wonder how our body separates all we eat?

The year was 2008…..to be more specific February 1, 2008, BladenOnline made its debut and after years of hard work by many, a huge following of daily readers, and the support of area businesses, all is well.

Last week, we had our sixth best week with 128,615 pages viewed and 23,796 visits.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  BladenOnline is over 414 weeks old and The Best Is Yet To Come.

If you have been hoping and praying for cold weather, step outside….Cold and windy today, according to the National Weather Service.  High today in low 40s, Tuesday in mid 30s and low 40s on Wednesday.  Plan accordingly.  Bundle up if you plan to attend today’s parade.
