Kinda got hooked on the past few hours … News out of New Orleans … not good … Ever been to New Orleans … I am fortunate to have been there a time or two … Best I can tell, we are not safe anywhere any more…
When temps begin to drop, I think of those among us who enjoy going into the woods, build a nice fire … and turn the dogs loose … listen to them run. I have never been a big time hunter, but enjoyed the tall-tales shared around a warm fire…
I think back to the early days of purchasing my first couple of vehicles … First two were $200 each … my boss man signed a bank note to finance … one at the time … paid them off by the week … Bank of Bladenboro…
I think back to my school days from time to time … Anyone else take newspapers to school … spread them on the floor … and take a nap … I was not that smart, but taking a nap on the floor never appealed to me … And, we did not subscribe to a newspaper…
