High temp Thursday in our area, 50 degrees … Overnight low last night … 28 degrees … Today (Friday), sunny with a high temp near 54 … Wind gusts in the 21 mph range.
Saturday … Low in the 26 degrees range with gusts as high as 20 mph … Saturday, sunny with a high near 44 … wind gusts in the 17 mph range … Brrrrr cold.
College football bowl games … some completed, others on the weekend agenda … plus NFL games…
Bladen County schools reopen Monday … Will be a while before another extended break…
I think back a few years ago when I was attempting to begin a new news source for the area … BladenOnline.com … actually began on February 1 … about 20, 21, maybe 22 years ago…
Hunters should be out in force soon … maybe this weekend … Deer hunters…
I watched as adults and youngsters made their splash in nearby lakes and at the beach … Not me…
Remember our fellow Tar Heels in the western part of the state … still attempting to recover from a storm a few weeks ago.
