Can you believe????? Temp 2 AM Saturday was 74 degrees (January 4, 2020)…

Forecast for today (Saturday) … Showers, mainly before 2 PM. High near 70. West wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half an inch possible. High Sunday in the mid 50s.

A recent NC Department of Commerce news releases indicated the labor force for Bladen County is 14,694 .. 628 (4.3%) are unemployed. Statewide the unemployment rate is 3.4%. Sampson County unemployment rate is 3.3%, Columbus 4.5% and the Robeson County unemployment rate is 4.9%.

The NC Wildlife Commission will conduct a public hearing at Bladen Community College on Tuesday, January 7, 7 PM. Purpose of the hearing is to accept comments on proposed changes to agency regulations related to wildlife management, inland fisheries and game lands for the 2020-2021 seasons.
